Ginger chicken soup

Each week our Meals for Mummas contain two heartwarming soups made on a base of chicken bone broth (mushroom broth available for vegetarians). All these soups are deeply nourishing for a mother, rich in vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, & protein. This week is a very autumnal pumpkin soup, with warming spices & creamy coconut milk. The second soup is our ginger chicken soup, with asian greens, coriander & garlic. It’s the perfect way to warm up from the inside out & so very healing with the rich broth & fragrant spices.

These 'Seasonal Specials' change each week depending on what's in season. They are always simple, nourishing meals that can be quickly heated in the oven or stovetop & perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner! This week we have our crumble back! Featuring new season pears & apples covered in our nourishing crumble topping made from oats, spelt, dates, grass fed butter, almonds & coconut. We also have lasagne on the menu again,because it really is the perfect comfort food, this time featuring lots of silverbeet & ricotta.

Every week you'll find these goodies in your Meals for Mummas pack. Our granola is filled with warming spices, tahini, nuts, seeds, oats & honey (from our very own bees). Rich in healthy fats, protein & complex carbohydrates this is the perfect breakfast for a mumma. This week we have swapped out our usual Leche cookies for hemp seed & cacao bliss balls. Rich in healthy fats, protein & magnesium these are a great snack for anytime of the day.  Finally, what every mumma always needs - a warming cup of tea. This herbal blend has been created by our Naturopath, Angie, containing Raspberry leaf, chamomile & nettle. It is suitable from the second to fourth trimester of pregnancy & motherhood.

Contains two seasonal soups (1 L each) two seasonal specials (500 g each) & our Mumma Feel Good staples - Spiced granola, Leche cookies & herbal tea. All nutritionally balanced to support a busy mother. Each meal serves 2-3, ideal to be shared with other family members or frozen for a later date. The staples are enough to last a week, although we can't guarantee you'll be able to ration them that long! All comes packaged in glass jars, compostable containers & our gorgeous reusable cooler bag. For the subscription we kindly ask you leave the cooler bag out so we can swap it over, leaving you with 1 to keep at the end.

I am a lover of all things food. Cooking food, growing food, eating food & photographing food. Good food, that looks beautiful & is delicious. Fresh food, like a sweet carrot you've just pulled from the garden. Nourishing food, that warms you from within. I don't love diets or restrictive eating. I believe in using your intuition & eating the food that truly makes you feel good. 
I studied Nutrition & Food Science (Bsc) at Curtin University & have worked as both a Nutritionist & Food Scientist. I now focus on postpartum nutrition & care for mothers, as I have learnt so much through becoming a mother myself.
